Château Charleval

An atypical and unique place
and unique place dedicated
to contemporary art

All it took was a spark and a bit of audacity to give birth to the Château Charleval project. Daniel Rocher, the artist-owner, patron, and collector, has transformed this architectural jewel from the middle of the 19th century, still steeped in history, into an atypical place in Provence, entirely dedicated to contemporary art.
For Daniel Rocher, art “is about offering man the best he has in him, beyond any political or religious calculation, as was the case in the past”. Therefore, it is essential to give him the place he deserves.
At the crossroads of the Bouches-du-Rhône and Vaucluse regions, between Aix-en-Provence, La Roque d’Anthéron and the villages of the Luberon, Château Charleval offers collectors and contemporary art lovers an exceptional cultural interlude. The works of about twenty artists, most of them from the south of France, chosen by chance or by choice, are brought together in this unique place.

An exceptional interlude for collectors and lovers of contemporary art
