Myong-Soon Youn

Originally from South Korea, Myong-Soon Youn knows France well, having lived there for several years and studied there for part of her life.

The artist exhibits at the Château de Charleval her minimal sculptures forming the outlines of small houses, made from iron and copper wire that she delicately hammers. The lines are pure like a pencil stroke and play with the shadow projected on the walls of the castle.

With great simplicity and poetry, Myong-Soon Youn draws on her memories. The artist evokes in his sculptures, scenes of everyday life, precious moments that we keep in the depths of our memory. In these delicate works, melancholy, dreams, and familiar memories invite us to introspection.

Château Charleval accueille l’exposition « Seasons of heaven », qui réunit les deux artistes, Aurélia Rocher et Joanna Cutri. Céramiques et toiles contemporaines se répondent et questionnent notre lien à la Mémoire et la Nature.
