Self-taught sculptor and musician born in Arles in 1980, Julien Allègre lives and works in Sablet, in the Vaucluse. As a child, in Saint-Rémy de Provence, he liked to spend time in the studio where his father painted. This almost unconscious artistic fibre would only come to the fore years later. First through music – he plays the guitar and the hang – then painting and finally sculpture.

From exhibitions to fairs, he participates in 2008 in Macparis, which highlights new talents in contemporary art. A turning point for this committed artist, sensitive to the world’s problems and whose works show a deep attachment to nature. Recovered oil cans and barrels have long been the basis of his creations, in a desire to denounce the ecological and human disasters associated with the black gold trade. Although he tends more and more towards abstraction, the sculptor never ceases to evoke the human being, nature and their fragility in his works, like the l’Homme fossile and La Bête that watch over the castle of Charleval.

[10
post-4727","artiste","type-artiste","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","type-d-artiste-sculpteur
